oNCE uPON A TIME (THE 70S)

Two sisters were raised on Tab and Pop Tarts by loving parents. The oldest made the rules. The youngest broke the rules. The parents told both girls they could be anything they wanted to be when they grew up, hoping for a US President or Pulitzer award winning author. The oldest made the rules, as would a president. The youngest broke the rules, as would a writer (and sometimes, presidents.)

The girls went on their way and were fabulously successful, but eventually got bored because they achieved neither President nor writer status. Despite the typical sibling rivalry (and sometimes because of it), the smarty pants younger sister could always make the self-righteous older sister laugh. Which was (and still is) frequently needed.

Day after day she would send an irreverent (and sometimes profanity-laced) “daily dose” prescription via email or text using her natural wit to ensure that the sisters were always connected, even though the rule making-and-breaking pattern continues to this day.

The obvious next step? Greeting cards. Is there a brother? Yes. He’s the youngest. But he is irrelevant to Daily Dose Designs, other than (unknowingly) providing plenty of material over the years. Enjoy your daily dose!
